Children’s debut in sustainability
From Ideas to Impact: Our Learners’ First Pop-Up
After six months of learning, experimenting, and dreaming, our children finally got to take a big step- their very first pop-up at a large-scale event in Sempozhil!
It’s been such a committed journey leading up to this moment. We started simple, just trying to co-learn on what sustainability really means. From there, we slowly moved into the exciting part, asking the children to “dream big”. What would they love to create? And then, how can we make it sustainable?
Since June, two of our budding entrepreneurs, Diya and Sathvika, have been working with so much passion on their projects. Diya chose Dog Treats, while Sathvika worked on Popsicles. Both had clear ideas of what they wanted to do — our role was never to disturb their dream, but to build around it in a way that was thoughtful and sustainable.
Little entrepreneurs, big milestones
So, over the months, we explored everything from:
Packaging that doesn’t harm the planet
Ingredients that are healthy and responsible
Storytelling that makes their brand shine
Designing and marketing strategies that bring their idea to life
When the time was right, we even invited investors to hear their pitches. That was a big moment! The investors listened, asked questions, refined the ideas, and gave feedback that helped the children polish their presentation. Not just that, they even invested real money, and our learners returned those investments with profits. What a beginning? Isn’t it?
And then came the big day. Our learners stood there with confidence and courage, putting their products out to the world to test and try.
It wasn’t just about selling vegan dog treats or natural popsicles. It was about showing that children can dream big, think smart, and create sustainable solutions. It was about watching them transform from curious learners into little entrepreneurs who are unafraid to try.
This pop-up at Sempozhil was only the beginning, but what a joyful, inspiring beginning it was. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes them next.
